The best way to experience the delights of Moscow
A trip to Russia is a rewarding experience for any traveller. There are numerous activities to be enjoyed in addition to the usual sightseeing highlights which Russia is famous for. For a longer trip centred around the capital city it is worth considering the holiday housing Moscow has to offer.
Most travellers to Russia will of course wish to see the highlights of Moscow. Moscow is the capital city of Russia and home to the famous walled Kremlin and Red Square. Whilst Moscow has a wealth of hotels, hostels and bed and breakfast accommodation, many travellers do not give much thought to the holiday housing Moscow has available.
Holiday rentals are a popular choice with those on a longer trip who want a base for their sightseeing. Many rental properties now also offer short rentals especially at peak holiday time. These short term rentals range from a week upwards. Self-catering apartments and flats provide the flexibility of choosing to buy and cook your own food. Travellers can also choose to relax after a long day with their feet up and will often enjoy the added comforts of a living room with TV, DVD player and CD player. Another advantage is that many rentals have clothes washing facilities which alleviates the need to search for a laundrette or pay for an expensive dry cleaners.
As well as looking at the holiday housing Moscow has to offer it is possible to rent accommodation in other Russian cities such as St Petersburg. St Petersburg has been described as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The city houses some outstanding architecture including Kazan Cathedral, and is famous for the beautiful palace on Peterhof country estate. Visitors to Russia must remember to take some warm clothes depending on the time year as the winters can get very cold.
