Enjoying the Fantastic Cuba Beach Life on the Island’s Top Beaches
Make the most of Cuba beach life by soaking up the rays and surrendering your body and soul to some of the best beaches that the island as to offer. With more than five thousand kilometres of coastline and nearly 300 natural beaches characterized by fine powdery sand and turquoise waves it’s hard to pick just a few amongst the many on offer. But eyes down, because here we go with our top three.
1) Cayo Coco – this is just about as close to paradise as it is possible to get. Off the north coast of Cuba this island boasts 27km of white sandy beaches that are gently lapped by the Atlantic ocean. It’s part of Cuba’s northern coral reefs that are home to a dizzying array of marine life. Small wonder then that Cayo Coco is also a haven for scuba divers and snorkelers.
2) Guardalavaca Beach – does Cuba beach life get any better than this? A small 3km stretch of golden sand that is one of Cuba’s least spoilt areas of coastline. Coral reefs are situated just a few metres off the beach making Guardalavaca a magnet for those who love to fish, snorkel and dive. There are plenty of sporting activities on offer here for those with active pursuits on their mind; you don’t have to spend your entire holiday horizontal, unless you want to of course. Activities on offer here include volleyball, catamaran sailing, kayaking and deep sea fishing.
3) Playa Pilar – here the swimming is superb, the sunbathing sublime and the easy life guaranteed. Playa Pilar is by far one of the island’s prettiest beaches with its soft dense white sand and stunning outlook. On calm sea days you can venture out to the nearby coral reefs in a glass bottom catamaran for a stunning view of life beneath the waves.
