Singapores Low Budget Attractions and Activities
Singapore is more expensive than many other Asian countries, but there are also budget travel options. Eating out is cheap, public transport is affordable and there are free things to see and do. Singapore low budget accommodation options include cheap hotels and backpacker hostels.
Accommodation and Getting Around
Many Singapore low budget hotels can be found in Chinatown and in Little India. The Little India area has several hostels and backpacker guesthouses, and hostels have generally higher standards than in many other Asian countries. Chinatown is a good place to find affordable hotel accommodation.
The public transport network in Singapore is modern and efficient. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation) is Singapore's air-conditioned metro and it covers most parts of the city. If you buy the EZ-link smart card, your journeys will be cheaper than if you buy individual tickets for each trip on the MRT.
